Phase Two : Extended Care

Eagle View (Average Length of Stay: 30-45 Days)

At Ascend Recovery, we understand that transitioning from residential care to independent living can be challenging. That’s why we’ve designed Phase Two: Extended Care at Eagle View to help clients take the next step toward long-term recovery and autonomy. Developed by our founder, Ryan Salter, this phase focuses on providing continued support and helping clients apply the skills they’ve learned during their time at the Lake House in a more independent setting.

Building Executive Functioning Skills

In Eagle View, the focus is on executive functioning skills, which are essential for successfully reintegrating into society while maintaining a sober lifestyle. Clients continue to work with their primary therapist during this phase, which is unique to the Ascend Recovery model. The strong therapeutic relationship that was built during Residential Care is maintained, providing a familiar and supportive presence as clients encounter new challenges.

During Extended Care, clients develop key life skills and apply them to real-world situations, such as:

  • Managing money
  • Finding and keeping a job
  • Building and maintaining a sober peer network
  • Structuring time productively
  • Having sober fun and engaging in recreational activities that support recovery

This phase helps clients gain confidence and independence while maintaining the momentum built during Residential Care. With a planned and structured approach, Eagle View prepares clients to take on more autonomy in their recovery.

Continued Support and Personal Development

In addition to individual therapy and group therapy, clients continue their connection to the peer support community, which helps them stay grounded in their recovery. This ongoing support is vital for navigating the challenges that come with transitioning into a more independent lifestyle. At Eagle View, clients are required to:

Obtain work or start schooling: We assist clients in finding employment or pursuing educational opportunities, helping them establish purpose and structure in their lives.

Personal development: Clients continue to work on developing a strong sense of self, responsibility, and personal growth.

Designed for Lasting Success

Eagle View was specifically designed to ensure that the foundational skills clients developed during Residential Care stay intact as they begin to reintegrate into society. This phase serves as a bridge between the highly structured environment of Lake House and the independence they will eventually have in Transitional Living . We recognize that the transition from treatment back to everyday life can be daunting. Our Extended Care phase supports clients every step of the way, helping them stay focused, grounded, and motivated as they work toward sobriety and success in their recovery.

Eagle View is a key part of building momentum for sustained recovery and sobriety. This phase equips clients with the tools, skills, and support they need to continue progressing toward an independent, sober lifestyle.
